Delete your account and data

How to ask us to delete your Birds Galaxy account, and what happens to your information.

Summary

You can delete your Birds Galaxy account and personal data at any time, either yourself in the app (it takes effect immediately) or by emailing us. We complete email requests within 30 days.

How to request deletion

In the app (fastest)

  1. Open Birds Galaxy and go to Settings → Security → Delete Account.
  2. Confirm with your password (accounts created with Google, Facebook or Apple don't need one).
  3. Your account and data are deleted straight away, and you are signed out.

By email (if you no longer have the app)

  1. Send an email to [email protected].
  2. Use the subject line Delete my Birds Galaxy account.
  3. Send it from the email address linked to your account, and include your Birds Galaxy username.

We may ask you to confirm the request, so we can be sure it really comes from you. We will reply when your account has been deleted.

If you signed up with Google, Facebook or Apple, write the email address of that account. You can also remove Birds Galaxy's access in that service's settings.

What we delete

  • Your profile: name, username, email, password, profile photo and bio.
  • Your posts, stories, reels, comments, likes and saves.
  • Your aviaries, birds, nest boxes, eggs, chicks, breeding calendar and activity log.
  • Your marketplace listings.
  • Your saved pairings and settings.
  • Your follows, followers and follow history.
  • Your Bird Care Assistant history.

Genetic Calculator results in our shared pairing tables contain no personal information, so they are not affected.

Deleting some data without deleting your account

You don't have to delete your whole account. In the app you can delete individual posts, comments, listings and aviary records at any time. To have other specific data deleted, email [email protected] and tell us what you would like removed.
